The Akai M-7 is a vintage tube, 4 track reel to reel tape recorder manufactured in the early to mid-1960s. It is a semi-professional model known for its high-quality audio and durable construction.

- Heads: Features a three-head system: one for record/playback, one for bias, and one for erase. It utilizes Akai's innovative cross-field magnetic recording system to achieve a wide frequency response.
